These Cheesy Bacon Ranch Deviled Eggs are the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer, with smoky bacon mixed right into the creamy filling for flavor in every bite. Perfect for parties, potlucks, and game day gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 large eggs
  • Ice water (for ice bath)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (preferably Duke’s or Hellmann’s)
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix (e.g., Hidden Valley)
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, finely shredded
  • 6 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • Paprika (smoked paprika recommended)
  • Fresh chives or parsley, chopped
  • Extra crumbled bacon for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place 12 eggs in a single layer in a saucepan. Cover with cold water by about 1 inch. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat (8-10 minutes). Once boiling, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and let sit for exactly 12 minutes.
  2. Prepare an ice bath with ice and cold water. Transfer eggs to the ice bath using a slotted spoon and let chill for at least 10 minutes.
  3. While eggs cool, cook bacon: bake at 400°F on a foil-lined baking sheet for 15-18 minutes until crisp. Cool on paper towels, then crumble into small pieces.
  4. Peel eggs under running cold water. Pat dry. Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Remove yolks to a mixing bowl. Arrange whites on a serving platter.
  5. Mash yolks with a fork until fine crumbs. Add mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon (reserve some for garnish), yellow mustard, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Spoon filling into a piping bag or zip-top bag. Snip off a 1/2-inch corner. Pipe filling into each egg white half, mounding slightly.
  7. Garnish with paprika, fresh chives or parsley, and reserved bacon crumbles. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 hours.

Notes

Use eggs at least a week old for easier peeling. Shred cheese from a block for smoother filling. For make-ahead: boil and peel eggs up to 2 days ahead; store peeled eggs in cold water in the fridge. Filling can be made a day ahead and stored in a piping bag. Serve cold or at room temperature; do not leave out for more than 2 hours.
