A simple yet elegant charcuterie board for two featuring creamy brie, sweet grapes, and savory salami. Perfect for a cozy date night or a lazy afternoon snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz wheel of brie cheese
  • 1 cup red seedless grapes, washed and stemmed
  • 20–25 good-quality crackers (e.g., water crackers or buttery rounds)
  • 4 oz thinly sliced salami or soppressata
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • A few sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
  • ½ cup dried apricots or figs
  • ½ cup lightly salted roasted almonds
  • ¼ cup cornichons or small pickles
  • 1 small bar dark chocolate (70% cocoa), broken into pieces
  • 2–3 fresh figs, halved (optional)
  • Sourdough bread, sliced and toasted (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the brie: Take the brie out of the fridge 30 minutes before assembling. If you want it warm, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the brie on a small oven-safe dish or in a cast iron skillet. Bake for 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly puffed.
  2. Wash and dry the grapes: Rinse the grapes under cold water and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel. Leave them in small clusters for a prettier look.
  3. Arrange the board: Place the brie in the center or slightly off-center. Add small bowls for honey, pickles, and olives if using.
  4. Add the crackers and bread: Fan the crackers out around the brie. If using sourdough, place slices on one side of the board.
  5. Layer the meats: Fold the salami slices into quarters or roll them into cylinders. Place them in a cluster near one corner of the board.
  6. Add the fruit and nuts: Scatter the grapes in small groups around the board. Add dried apricots or figs in another spot. Sprinkle almonds in between. If using fresh figs, arrange them cut-side up near the brie.
  7. Drizzle and garnish: Drizzle honey over the warm brie. Sprinkle rosemary or thyme sprigs around the board. Add dark chocolate pieces in a small cluster.
  8. Final check: Fill any empty spaces with extra grapes, almonds, or crackers. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, bring brie to room temperature before serving. If brie is under-ripe, bake at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to soften. Avoid overcrowding the board; less is more. Assemble everything except brie and honey drizzle ahead of time, then warm brie and add honey just before serving.
