These cozy ham and cheese pinwheels are made with flour tortillas, ham, cheddar, and a creamy spread, baked until golden and crispy. Perfect for meal prep, freezing, and quick comforting bites.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas (8-inch, soft taco size)
  • 8 ounces deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (about 8 ounces)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine 4 ounces softened cream cheese, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon onion powder. Mix until smooth.
  3. Lay 4 large flour tortillas flat on a clean work surface. If stiff, microwave for 10 seconds to make pliable.
  4. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla, leaving a ½-inch border around the edges.
  5. Place 2-3 slices of deli ham over the cream cheese, overlapping slightly.
  6. Sprinkle about ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the ham. Press down gently.
  7. Starting from one edge, roll the tortilla as tightly as possible without tearing. Use fingers to tuck in filling as you go.
  8. Wrap each rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes (optional but recommended).
  9. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice each roll into 6-8 even pieces, about 1 inch thick. Wipe knife clean between cuts.
  10. Place pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 1 inch apart.
  11. Brush tops with 2 tablespoons melted butter.
  12. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning if desired.
  13. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until edges are golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  14. Let cool on baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  15. Serve warm.

Notes

Chill the rolls before slicing for cleaner cuts. Use a serrated knife to avoid squishing. Bake from frozen if desired, adding 3-5 minutes. For best results, use room-temperature cream cheese.
