This spooky yet cozy Halloween punch features a blend of pineapple, cranberry, and lime juices with a dramatic dry ice fog. It’s a quick, easy, and crowd-pleasing drink perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (960 ml) pineapple juice (unsweetened)
  • 4 cups (960 ml) cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 4 cups (960 ml) ginger ale (e.g., Canada Dry)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) orange juice
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) simple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • Ice ring or large ice cubes
  • 12 pounds (450900 grams) dry ice
  • Optional garnishes: fresh cranberries, lime wheels, edible glitter, gummy worms

Instructions

  1. Make the ice ring (optional but recommended): The night before, fill a small bundt pan or large bowl halfway with water. Arrange fresh cranberries, lime wheels, and mint leaves in the water. Freeze until solid, then add more water to fill the pan and freeze again.
  2. Mix the juices: In a large punch bowl, combine pineapple juice, cranberry juice, lime juice, and orange juice. Stir well. Taste and add simple syrup if desired.
  3. Add the ginger ale: Just before serving, pour in the ginger ale and stir gently.
  4. Add the ice ring: Carefully place the ice ring or large ice cubes into the punch bowl.
  5. Prepare the dry ice: Wearing thick gloves or using tongs, break dry ice into golf-ball-sized pieces. Never handle with bare skin.
  6. Add the dry ice: Drop 2-3 pieces of dry ice into the punch bowl. The fog will start rolling over the sides. Add more every 20-30 minutes to maintain the effect.
  7. Serve immediately: Ladle punch into cups, being careful not to scoop up any dry ice pieces.

Notes

Chill all juices and ginger ale overnight for best fog effect. Dry ice should be handled with gloves and tongs; never touch with bare skin or swallow. Add dry ice only to the punch bowl, not individual cups. For an adult version, substitute 2 cups of ginger ale with light rum or vodka.
