A festive and delicious pepperoni pizza shaped like a wreath, perfect for holiday parties. Quick to make with simple ingredients, it’s a crowd-pleaser that looks stunning on any buffet table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (low-moisture, part-skim)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 40–50 slices pepperoni (regular size)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (for decorating, optional)
  • Cherry tomatoes or red bell pepper strips (for ‘berries’, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough onto the parchment paper into a roughly 12×16 inch rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
  3. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce, then top with the grated Parmesan.
  5. Arrange the pepperoni slices in a single layer over the cheese, overlapping slightly.
  6. Using a pizza cutter or sharp knife, cut the dough into 1-inch wide strips, working from the outside edge toward the center. Stop cutting about 2 inches from the center to leave a solid circle in the middle.
  7. Take one strip on the left and one on the right. Twist them together gently (one or two twists), then fold the twisted pair over the filling toward the center. Tuck the ends under the solid center circle. Repeat with all strips.
  8. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil and garlic powder. Brush this mixture all over the exposed dough.
  9. Sprinkle the dried oregano evenly over the wreath.
  10. Bake for 15-18 minutes until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  11. Let the wreath cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. If using, tuck fresh rosemary sprigs around the wreath and place cherry tomatoes or red pepper strips to look like berries.
  12. Use a spatula to carefully transfer the wreath to a serving platter. Slice into wedges and serve.

Notes

Don’t overfill the wreath to prevent cheese from leaking. Use room temperature dough for easier handling. For make-ahead, assemble up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerate, then add 2-3 minutes to baking time. For freezing, bake fully, cool, wrap tightly, and freeze for up to 2 months.
