A quick and easy sweet, spicy, and creamy dip made with cream cheese, cranberry sauce, and jalapeños. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a last-minute appetizer that everyone loves.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 2–3 fresh jalapeños, seeded and finely diced
  • 2 tablespoons pickled jalapeños, chopped (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Crackers, tortilla chips, or sliced baguette for serving

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by leaving it at room temperature for 30-60 minutes, or microwave in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  2. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Using a hand mixer on medium speed, beat for about 30 seconds until smooth and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a rubber spatula.
  3. Add the sour cream and beat on low speed until just combined. The mixture should be creamy and smooth.
  4. Add the whole berry cranberry sauce to the bowl. Use a rubber spatula to gently fold it into the cream cheese mixture, leaving streaks of cranberry for a marbled appearance.
  5. Sprinkle the diced fresh jalapeños and chopped pickled jalapeños (if using) over the top. Fold them in gently until just distributed. Taste and adjust heat as desired.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving dish. Sprinkle with a pinch of flaky sea salt and fresh chopped cilantro if using. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  7. For best flavor, chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. Can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
  8. Serve with crackers, tortilla chips, or sliced baguette.

Notes

For a milder dip, use just one jalapeño and remove all seeds and membranes. For more heat, leave some seeds in or add extra pickled jalapeños. The dip improves after resting in the fridge for 30 minutes or overnight. Do not freeze as cream cheese can become grainy.
