These easy no-bake Christmas Oreo truffle balls are a quick, 5-minute holiday treat made with just four simple ingredients. Perfect for cookie swaps, teacher gifts, or last-minute party platters, they deliver a creamy, fudgy texture with a festive candy cane coating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.3 oz) package Oreo cookies (regular, not double-stuf)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (pure)
  • Pinch of salt
  • 12 oz white chocolate melting wafers
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes (about 4–5 full-size candy canes)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place the entire package of Oreos (cream filling and all) into a food processor. Pulse until you have fine, uniform crumbs. No big chunks should remain. If using the bag-and-rolling-pin method, crush thoroughly (about 5 minutes).
  2. Mix the filling: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt. Stir until smooth and completely combined. Add the Oreo crumbs and mix until everything comes together into a dark, fudgy dough. If too dry, add another tablespoon of cream cheese; if too sticky, add a few more crushed Oreos.
  3. Chill the mixture: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes. This makes rolling easier.
  4. Roll the truffle balls: Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your palms into a smooth ball. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should get about 24-28 balls.
  5. Freeze the balls: Place the baking sheet in the freezer for about 15 minutes. This helps the balls hold their shape when dipped.
  6. Melt the white chocolate: Place the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until completely smooth. If too thick, stir in the coconut oil. Be careful not to overheat.
  7. Dip the truffle balls: Working with one ball at a time, drop it into the melted white chocolate. Use a fork or small spatula to turn until completely coated. Lift it out, let excess chocolate drip off, and place it back on the parchment.
  8. Add the topping: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top. Do this immediately.
  9. Set and serve: Let the truffle balls sit at room temperature until the chocolate is completely set, about 20-30 minutes. Or refrigerate for 10 minutes.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and let it soften to room temperature. Do not skip the freezing step before dipping. White chocolate burns easily; use low power and stir frequently. If the mixture sticks to your hands while rolling, run your hands under cold water and dry them. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
