This creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip features a festive spider web design made from sour cream, making it a showstopper for Halloween parties, game days, and any gathering. It’s quick, easy, and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 23 black olives, sliced
  • Tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or crackers for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, and ranch dressing. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, and cheddar cheese to the bowl. Stir until evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie plate or small baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  6. While the dip is baking, spoon the sour cream into a piping bag or small zip-top bag. If using a zip-top bag, snip a tiny corner off.
  7. Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Pipe a small circle of sour cream in the center of the dip, then a larger circle around it, and a third circle between the center and the outer edge. Using a toothpick or knife tip, drag lines from the center outward through the circles to create a web pattern. Wipe the toothpick clean between each line.
  9. Place sliced black olives on top of the dip to resemble spiders.
  10. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or crackers.

Notes

For best texture, use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream. Let the dip cool slightly before adding the sour cream web to prevent melting. To make ahead, assemble the dip (without sour cream web) and refrigerate up to 24 hours; add 5 minutes to baking time. For a thicker dip, use less buffalo sauce or add extra cheese.
