These Holiday White Chocolate Oreo Balls are the ultimate stress-free treat with just three main ingredients and about 20 minutes of active prep time. The combination of the dark, crumbly Oreo center with the sweet, creamy white chocolate shell is pure magic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14.3-ounce) package Oreo cookies (regular, not Double Stuf)
  • 8 ounces (226g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 12 ounces (340g) white chocolate melting wafers or high-quality white chocolate chips
  • Optional: Holiday sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or a drizzle of dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: Place the entire package of Oreos (filling and all) into the bowl of your food processor. Pulse until you have fine, sand-like crumbs. No large chunks should remain. This should take about 30-45 seconds.
  2. Mix the filling: Transfer the Oreo crumbs to your large mixing bowl. Add the softened cream cheese. Using your hand mixer on low speed (or a sturdy spatula), beat the mixture until it is completely combined and forms a cohesive, dark dough. It should look like a thick, fudgy paste. Scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is incorporated.
  3. Roll into balls: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Using your cookie scoop or a teaspoon, portion out the Oreo mixture. Roll each portion firmly between your palms into a smooth ball about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each one.
  4. Chill the truffles: Place the baking sheet of rolled Oreo balls in the freezer for at least 30 minutes, or in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. They need to be very firm before dipping.
  5. Melt the white chocolate: Place your white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until the chocolate is completely smooth and melted. Be careful not to overheat it.
  6. Dip the chilled truffles: Remove the Oreo balls from the freezer. Working with one ball at a time, drop it into the melted white chocolate. Use your dipping fork or two forks to gently turn it and coat it completely. Lift the truffle out of the chocolate, letting the excess drip back into the bowl. Transfer the coated truffle back to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Add your toppings immediately: While the white chocolate is still wet, sprinkle your holiday sprinkles or crushed candy canes on top.
  8. Set the chocolate: Once all the truffles are dipped and decorated, place the baking sheet back in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes, or until the white chocolate is completely firm and set.

Notes

Chill the truffles thoroughly before dipping to prevent them from falling apart. White chocolate is sensitive to heat and moisture; melt slowly and ensure all utensils are dry. For best results, use regular Oreos, not Double Stuf. The truffles can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or frozen for up to 3 months.
