Kid-Friendly Apple Cider Mimosa Bar: Easy Fall Brunch

A fun, fizzy, and festive non-alcoholic drink bar perfect for fall brunches. Kids love building their own drinks with apple cider, sparkling water, and colorful garnishes.

  • 4 cups apple cider (chilled)
  • 2 cups sparkling water (plain or apple-flavored)
  • 1 cup cranberry juice (100% juice)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 apple (thinly sliced into rounds)
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 46 cinnamon sticks
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs (optional)
  • 1 orange (sliced into half-moons)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate juice (optional)
  • 1/4 cup frozen raspberries (optional)
  • Edible flowers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Chill apple cider, sparkling water, and juices in the fridge for about an hour before serving.
  2. Wash and slice the apple into thin rounds (1/4-inch thick) and the orange into half-moons. Place pomegranate seeds in a small bowl.
  3. Set up a bar station with the pitcher of apple cider mixture, small bowls of garnishes, and cinnamon sticks in a cup.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine chilled apple cider, cranberry juice, and orange juice. Stir gently. Taste and add honey or maple syrup if desired.
  5. Just before serving, pour the sparkling water into the pitcher and stir gently.
  6. Let each child build their own drink by choosing garnishes and pouring the mixture into glasses.
  7. Fill each glass about 3/4 full with the apple cider mixture. Serve immediately.

Notes

For toddlers, skip cinnamon sticks as stirrers and use regular straws. The base mixture (without sparkling water) can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Garnishes are best prepped the day of, but sliced apples and oranges can be stored in water with lemon juice for up to 24 hours.
