A light and festive apple cider mimosa with a cinnamon sugar rim, ready in just five minutes. Perfect for fall brunches and holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup apple cider per serving
  • 1 cup dry brut champagne or prosecco per serving
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Lemon wedge for rim

Instructions

  1. On a small plate, combine 2 tablespoons granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Mix with a fork until evenly distributed.
  2. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of a champagne flute to moisten it evenly.
  3. Dip the moistened rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture, twisting gently for even coverage. Tap off excess.
  4. Fill the glass about one-third full with cold apple cider (about 1/2 cup).
  5. Slowly pour champagne or sparkling wine into the glass, filling to the top (about 1 cup). Pour gently to avoid excessive foaming.
  6. Give the drink one or two gentle stirs with a long spoon or chopstick.
  7. Garnish with a thin apple slice on the rim and serve immediately.

Notes

Chill both apple cider and champagne before serving. Use dry brut champagne to balance sweetness. The cinnamon sugar rim can be prepared a day in advance. For a non-alcoholic version, use sparkling apple cider or sparkling water.
