These Lighter Cranberry Orange Bliss Bars with White Chocolate are the perfect quick and easy dessert for holiday gatherings. Made with fresh cranberries, orange zest, and a white chocolate drizzle, they’re a crowd-pleasing treat that feels indulgent but uses sensible swaps like Greek yogurt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup (56g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup (60ml) fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 cup (100g) fresh cranberries
  • ½ cup (85g) white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on two sides.
  2. Zest and juice your orange. Set aside 1 tablespoon of zest and ¼ cup of juice.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, Greek yogurt, egg, vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange zest. Whisk until smooth.
  5. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Fold gently with a spatula until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the cranberries until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread into an even layer.
  8. Bake for 25-28 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bars cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift onto a cooling rack to cool completely.
  10. Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, or in a double boiler. Add coconut oil if using.
  11. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled bars. Let set before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best results, use room-temperature ingredients. Don’t overmix the batter. Watch white chocolate carefully as it burns easily. Bars taste even better the next day. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate if warm. Freeze for up to 3 months.
